World Hopping Frog

Arrived in Queestown, walked up the hill to the skyline gondola and got some good views and walked back down again. Walked over to frankton around the lake there. Weather is still quite hot. Going to give the crazy actitivities a miss as I did a fair few of them the last time I was here. Though do fancy the bogie boarding down the river, maybe in Taupo.

After Leaving Greymouth went to Franz Joseph Glacier, where I did a one day Glacier hike. It was really good. Saw lots of Big Crevices, blue ice and even walked through an ice cave. Really tiring though and couldn't walk properly for a couple of days afterwards.

After Franz Joseph went onto Wanaka, The weather was boiling, so went for a swim in the lake to cool off. Walked round the lake as well,(well part of it, I still couldn't walk properly from Glacier).

Went back to Nelson for a night after Goldent bay, then left the next morning to go to Westport. There is not a lot in Westport, I went for a walk along the beach which was quite nice. Really needed a car to get out to Cape Foulwind and the seal colonly, oh well.
After Westport went to PUnakaiki, saw the blow holes, where when its stormy, water is supposed to come up through them and the pancake rocks, Stayed overnight in Punakaiki and went for one of the many walks you can do in the Papora National Park.

Back on the bus the next day and to Greymouth. The road to Greymouth was right next to the ocean so had some spectular views, (bit like the Great Ocean Road in Oz, but more rugged)

Left Christchurch and went up to Place called Hanmer springs, an Alpine Thermal resort, spent the afternoon in the hot pools. The next day went on a walk around the area, up conical hill for some good look outs. After leaving Hanmer springs went on to Nelson and got picked up by Cousin and driven to Golden bay for four days

Did a few walks in the Golden bay area. Went to Wanui falls, stopping at the Abel Tasman look out on the way. Also went Kayaking in the northern abel tasman national park, saw a few seals. Drove up to Farewell Spit and through Collingwood (which apparently was nearly capital of New Zealand, don't know why though the place is tiny

Finally after changing my flight tickets twice managed to make it to Christchurch. Spent the first day in Christchurch planning my route around New Zealand and buying bus passes etc. Went to a free concert in Hagley park in the evening, had fireworks and everything.
Walked around Botanical gardens again (seem to be doing this alot, not for a love of plants, more due to the fact it was free). In the evening I washed all my clothes and found a supermarket, now isn't that exiciting.
